I was born in Jackson Mississippi, grew up in Austin, spent summers in Jackson and Vicksburg. When I was thirteen I received my first camera. Fine art, photography and image manipulation consumed me. When I was seventeen I moved to Portland Oregon. It changed my view on art quite a bit. The art I saw was degenerate, beautiful, and full of life. Became obsessed with cinematography video editing and graphic design. I began animation at nineteen. In a virtual space I could explore all these passions as well as imaginary environments I could only dream of in the physical world. Before graduating I was tasked with organizing, setting up and managing the Visualization departments first virtual reality lab. In this environment I began to experiment with virtual reality and projected augmented reality. I believe projected interactive environments are the future of artistic and consumer landscapes and have dedicated my time to experimenting with the ergonomic and psychological possibilities of such immersive and interactive environments. The human experience, the wanderlust of life and ironic nature of reality are core to my philosophical inquiries and core to the art I make. I am passionate about sharing these ideas and driven to perfect the ability to communicate these thoughts and questions through images.
